I cannot think of a more important cause that I have decided on being a part of. The entire human race is being massively short changed by 1% of primitive-minded power mongers. Even those who control the world monetary economy do not realize that they too are hugely short changing themselves and their families quality of life. If every human being was free to express the reason the universe put them on our bountiful planet, it is beyond imagination what we could achieve, solving problems and not making so many wonderful ideas ‘unaffordable’because of monetary restrictions.
Let’s imagine for a moment the human race had decided on a planet-wide resource based economy 50 years ago. Life on earth would be profoundly different today. My guess is that we would be nearly disease free, crime free and no transportation deaths would occur. We would be thinking in terms of achieving immortality as aging is also a disease we are working on. This movement is something I am passionately committing to work on promoting for the rest of my natural life.
I have just finished watching Zeitgeist: Addenum and I am truly impressed. I will be spreading the word around as much as possible and I hope to see this movement develop successfully in our lifetime!

I’m wondering about Toronto meeting schedules.
Also, has the Z-Movement considered the critique (not the solution) put forth by the deep green anarchist/anticiv movement, that the health of the species and our ecology began to go seriously downhill with our social re-organization (or fall?) into farming, about 12,000 years ago.
Think about it: we lost all natural knowledge of how to survive naturally—knowledge passed on in high fidelity from parents to children for over 60,000 years. So we invented harvest gods to fill the existential hole, a form of terror in every cell of our being (i.e,. We don’t know HOW to survive anymore). Since then we have had wars, famines, mass sacrifices and a continuous accumulation of baby-souls for each god’s scoreboard.
Heidegger seems to be right: Technology is Harvesting, and it all began with farming and the reduction of life, especially human life, to mere grain-fed, barnyard “resources” to be bred and domesticated. Today, we are no longer merely human resource, our bodies and our very cells have become themselves resources—a supply depot.
We could learn a lot from the current discussions of “memes” in anthropology. And we could start by jettisoning old political language of old power-memes.
Personally, I’m all for a general rewilding.
